It was while he was at Beckmans School of Design that Kenneth Andram made a name for himself by paying for his studies designing and sewing more than 800 fashionably flared trousers for friends and acquaintances. Peter Wilton was a master salesman who had a unique ability to forge relationships with stores and retailers.

It was on hectic business trips and prolonged periods away from their families that the two colleagues bonded over a dream about something different. Freedom. Something of their own. They also shared the same fundamental ethical values and the conviction that quality is always better than quantity.
